Our guarantee

We build cookware to be handed down, so our guarantee is built the same way: for the life of the pan, not the length of a receipt. If something goes wrong, our first move is to fix it, not to sell you another one.

Lifetime guarantee

Every pan we make is guaranteed for as long as you own it. If it cracks, warps, or fails in any way that isn't ordinary wear you can fix at home, we repair it or replace it — free. There's no registration card and no expiration date. Cast iron is nearly indestructible, so this doesn't come up often, but when it does, we stand behind it.

Free re-seasoning, forever

Seasoning is the oil layer that makes iron non-stick and rust-proof, and it can get tired, sticky, or stripped over the years. Send us your pan anytime and we'll strip it, re-season it by hand with flaxseed oil, and send it back looking new. Free, for the life of the pan, however many times you need it. Most people never do — a wipe of oil after cooking keeps it going — but the option is always there.

Repair before replace

This is the heart of how we work. A rusted, rough, or dull pan is almost never dead — it just needs attention. Before we ever ship a replacement, we'll try to bring your original pan back, because that's better for you and keeps a good piece of iron out of a landfill. Replacing is the last resort, not the first.

90-day returns — even if you've cooked in it

Not sure it's for you? Use it. Cook in it. Season it. If it's not right within 90 days, send it back for a full refund — a seasoned, used pan is fine, we're not going to inspect it for scratches. We'd rather you actually put it through its paces than baby it and guess. See the full process on the returns page.

How to start a repair or re-seasoning

  1. Email hello@acme-outfitters.example and tell us what's going on — a photo of the pan helps but isn't required.
  2. We'll reply with a prepaid shipping label and where to send it.
  3. We repair or re-season it by hand at the foundry.
  4. We ship it back to you, free.

No receipt needed. If you inherited the pan or bought it secondhand, the guarantee still stands — it follows the pan, not the buyer. That's what "made to be handed down" actually means.

What isn't covered

We're honest about the edges: the guarantee covers the pan itself, not shipping damage you'd file with the carrier, and it isn't a promise to replace a pan you'd simply like in a different size. Everything to do with the iron's condition — rust, seasoning, roughness, warping, cracks — is on us, for life.
